Introduction of the faculty

Faculty of Earth Environmental Engineering consists of Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering and Department of Aerial Geoinformatics. The faculty aims to cultivate specialists in those fields. Graduates of Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering have entered design companies and construction companies related with structural engineering, water engineering, measurement, environment, soil quality, and basic areas. Graduates of Department of Aerial Geoinformatics, through their capacities in basic theories in GIS, and analysis and management of space, can join GIS-related companies such as companies of information treatment and system development and map-producing companies.

Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering — We Build the Basis of Industrial Development"

This department teaches basic theories and do experiments and practices required in civil and environmental engineering. It aims to cultivate able technicians equipped with overall capacities who can deal with all the problems in civil and environmental areas ranging from planning, design, construction, and maintenance and management.

Department of Aerial Geoinformatics — See the World at a Glance, Make the Life Comfortable

This department was established in 1992 as the special education organ teaching GIS (geographic information system) for the first time in Korea. With close cooperative relationships with a number of GIS-related companies, this department opens practice-oriented curriculum needed in working places, and educate students on GIS, remote search, numerical map production, photo measurement, GPS, and LBS, etc. using latest equipments and software.
