Introduction of the faculty

Service industry is a high value-added strategic industry in the global age, and plays a leading role in upgrading people's sentiment and life quality. consequently, the faculty aims to cultivate differentiated special talents in airplane, tourism & hotel, and secretarial service. It aims to educate students to be able talents in service areas by giving them realistic education using etiquette, foreign languages, and using various education contents and emphasizing college-industry cooperation in their practice education.

Department of Aircraft Cabin Service Management — Highest-Quality Aircraft Service

This department was opened in 1977 as department cultivating aircraft cabin stewards and stewardess for the first time in Korea. It has produced over 7,000 graduates, and over 1,500 of them are working as stewards and stewardess in various airline companies including Korean Airlines. The department, to cultivate students as global-minded stewards and stewardess, runs theory and practice education systems designed to equip them with foreign language abilities and cultural sentiments, and, through thorough on-the-job training, provides them with the foothold on which they can grow to be specialists in various service areas not to mention the aircraft stewardship.

Department of Airline Service Management — Talents Opening the Basis of Airline Industry

This department aims to cultivate specialists wanted in aircraft transportation and related industry. With the online system linked with the Korean Airlines, the department provides students with real life education on reservation, ticket-issuing, transportation, and cargo treatment. for the service for foreign clients, it gives foreign language education in English and Japanese, and improves students' capacities through various practices on service mind and work automation, etc.

Department of Tourism Management — Dream and Challenge toward the World

This department cultivating talents in the future tourism industry was established in 1983, and has produced about 2,800 graduates, who play the role of core managers in tourism companies. to respond to the rapidly changing industrial society, and cultivate special human resources suitable to it, this department provides students with on-the-job training-focused education, education on customer service, and foreign language education, etc.

Department of Secretarial Studies — Career woman Leading the Future

This department, with the aim of cultivating professional secretaries equipped with comprehensive abilities on foreign languages and office technology, provides students with knowledge on secretary practices and on-the-job practices. It gives foreign language education, communication training, information management and web design using computer, and image-making training. In addition, by making them learn the abilities in harmonizing company employees and harmonious human relations, the department produces female professional talents equipped with knowledge, technology, and good personality.

Department of Hotel Management — Talents Wanted in Hotel Industry

To cultivate students as hoteliers equipped with international sense and service mind, the department runs the custom-made curriculum for top-class hotels. So, it runs various curricula focusing on in real life practices such as certificate system practices, practices in guest room and food and beverages, core of hotel business, and hotel management as well as liberal arts curriculum. Furthermore, by giving intensive training on English and Japanese, the department make students have basic abilities as service men.
